CYANO SIMULATORS
v.01/26
· Runs entirely offline · no accounts, no tracking · best viewed on desktop ·
Two small tools for previewing how a photograph will translate to cyanotype before you coat a sheet of paper. Made for the Alternative Photographic Processes classes at ESAD.cr.
︎︎︎ How to use. Load your own image with the button, by dragging a file onto the canvas, or by pasting from the clipboard. Hold Space to compare with the original. Best on a laptop or desktop; the panels are cramped on a phone.
︎︎︎ Your images stay on your device. Everything runs in your browser; nothing is uploaded anywhere.
︎︎︎ The tricolour process follows the Cianotipia Multicolorida / Multi-coloured Cyanotypes workshop by Maria Solaguren-Beascoa Negre. The simulator is an approximation for choosing and pre-visualising an image, not a prediction of the exact toned colour.
